Open Gardens

This list contains members of the GCDHS who are willing to have their gardens open (to GCDHS members only) for viewing during the gardening season. All garden visits are by appointment only. Due to privacy concerns members will have to obtain the telephone numbers from the GCDHS yearbook. There is no charge to visit these gardens, but garden courtesy is required: Stay on pathways, don't deadhead, keep close control of children, no smoking, don't lift the plant markers to read them, etc. These gardens have many interesting plants and other enjoyable features - some have received gardening awards. Some will sell plants. Feel free to take a camera. Remember to call (or e-mail) ahead and ENJOY.

If you would like to open your garden to the members click here and send us an e-mail which includes your name, address, and phone number, and we'll check it out. Anyone interested in learning more about Daylilies or Hostas is welcome to join the society. We have six or more meetings or other events a year and members receive an informative newsletter. Dues are for each calendar year. $12.00 for individuals, or $17.00 for couples. They may be paid at any meeting, or mailed to:

GCDHS is affiliated with the Daylily and Hosta national societies and urges its members to join one or both. The American Hemerocallis Society membership is $18 per year and the American Hosta Society membership is $25 per year. Multiple year memberships are available at a discounted rate.
